You should be familiar with the .NET Framework and programming with C# or Visual Basic, and you should have a basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Description
This path will help you become an expert in building Web applications using ASP.NET MVC. You will see how the ASP.NET Framework has harnessed the Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern to solve a variety of problems, and then you will dive into how an MVC application works. You will learn about validation attributes, how to implement custom validation, and explore displaying validation errors. You will explore AJAX, and discover why AJAX and MVC are a perfect combination. You will learn about the benefits and drawbacks of the ASP.NET Web API, and how to use it to create your own Web services. You will learn how to use JavaScript to interact with these services to create dynamic client-side experiences. Finally, you will learn about many of the new features in MVC 5 and Visual Studio 2013 as they relate to Web application development.
